Native Americans Freezing to Death

There is an emergency at Pine Ridge Lakota “Sioux” Indian Reservation with another cold front coming and a long winter ahead. Native American people have died by freezing to death in their homes. Many more people are at risk of freezing to death. The children and families of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation need our help now. It is urgent that all 40,000 residents of the Oglala Nation have electricity and propane. You can help – Please call Lakota Plains Propane at 605-867-5199 or 605-455-1188 and directly pay for someone's propane delivery. You can find out what homes have elderly or children and if they need money put down on their account to be able to have a warm home tonight. You can pay directly for the propane deliveries – the minimum cost for a propane delivery is $120. Even if you can only pay a portion of a delivery the money could go on someone’s account and help them get heat.
Please do not give your money to scam artists - contact members of the tribe (as below) or the Lakota Plains Propane company directly.
